Or 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver’s license.

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

ASSIGNED PROGRAM AREA: Completion of an undergraduate core program in Business or Public Administration.

Major Worker Characteristics:

Knowledge of: Public Relations; *Office Practices & Procedures (ONIC); *Agency Policies & Procedures (ODPS); Government Structure & Process.

SKILL: Word Processing (Microsoft Office Applications); Equipment Operations (General Office Equipment).

ABILITY: Define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; deal with many variables & determine specific action (e.g., research, production); calculate fractions, decimals & percentages; maintain accurate records; originate routine business letters reflecting standard procedures; prepare meaningful, concise & accurate reports; prepare & deliver speeches befoe specialized audiences & general public; gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; cooperate with co-workers on group projects; handle sensitive inquires from & contacts with officials & general public; resolve complaints from angry citizens & government officials.

Requires valid driver’s license to operate state owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation.
This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). Whoever fills this position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency.
