Veterans’ Recruitment Appointment (VRA)
VRA eligibility applies to the following categories:

Disabled veterans;
Veterans who served on active duty in the Armed Forces during a war declared by Congress, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized;
Veterans who, while serving on active duty in the Armed Forces, participated in a military operation for which an Armed Forces Service Medal (AFSM) was awarded; and
Veterans separated from active duty within the past 3 years

Military Spouses

MUST be a spouse of a member of the armed forces serving on active duty. (Please upload spouse’s active military orders and Marriage Certificate). or
A spouse of a 100 percent disabled service member injured while on active duty and/or unemployable (Please upload DD-214, Letter from Department of Veterans Affairs and Marriage Certificate). or

As the first point of contact, Contact Representatives are responsible for speaking with beneficiaries and the general public to provide information in person, by telephone, or in writing, on Social Security laws, rules and regulations. This includes obtaining information to determine eligibility and entitlement for programs administered by SSA and updating claim information using SSA systems. Contact Representatives conduct interviews to determine the nature of the caller’s question or issue; explain technical information, gather facts, evaluate evidence, and take action to resolve problems relating to all Social Security programs.
GS-5 through GS-7 with GS-8 promotion potential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,265.00 – $62,894.00 per year
