The Virtual Business Office is currently seeking Entry Level Patient Claims Analysts to join our award winning healthcare revenue cycle extended business office team. We provide revenue cycle business office solutions for our clients nationwide, and have been ranked #1 in KLAS for Extended Business Office Services for 6 consecutive years. If you are looking to join a winning team and industry leader in revenue cycle management, this is the position for you!
We are looking for professional candidates who enjoy problem-solving in a productivity-based environment. We provide training for new employees in order to teach you how to research and resolve outstanding medical claims, as well as how to document your progress throughout the life of each claim.
While this is not a Customer Service position or a Billing and Coding position, knowledge of these concepts and techniques will be helpful!
This is a remote position hiring in SC, NC, GA, FL, TX.
Responsibilities:

Research outstanding claims balances using online research via insurance company portals, and telephone calls to organizations regarding claims status.
Professionally communicate with insurance resources by website, e-mail, telephone, and customer service departments, etc.
Take initiative to utilize and apply industry knowledge to resolve outstanding claims
Accurately document progress of each claim throughout cycle
Remain open-minded to change and demonstrate flexibility
Possess a sense of ownership and personal accountability for productivity

Requirements:

High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
At least 1 year of medical collections, claims, or billing experience preferred
Experience with insurance carrier billing and reimbursement, medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT codes strongly preferred
Ability to work independently while understanding the importance of team work
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Must have predictable and consistent attendance
Professional demeanor and attitude
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with basic mathematical concepts
