Patient Advocates are responsible for all clerical and front desk administration duties, including but not limited to greeting guests, answering telephones, scheduling patients and payment collection.
Description of Primary Responsibilities

Patient Advocates are responsible for all clerical and front desk administration duties, including but not limited to greeting guests, answering telephones, scheduling patients and payment collection.
Responsible for customer service
Responsible for patient check in/check out.
Communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Task and inform the appropriate provider of the communication.
Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with upset patients.
Understanding of when to escalate calls to Providers/Regional manager/triage nurse.
Service patients, make reminder calls as requested and reschedule appointments when necessary.
Maintain orderly and professional work areas.
Assist with audits and surveys as directed by Patient Advocate Coordinator.
Participate in QA/QI and other meetings as directed.
