Overview

Performs responsible supervisory and administrative work directing, planning and coordinating one or more major programs or projects. Responsible for supervising subordinate staff members assigned to one or more work locations. Work is performed with considerable independence and the exercise of independent judgment under the general supervision of the department manager or other designated supervisor.

Representative Duties

Coordinates community outreach and neighborhood planning efforts with citizens, community organizations, service providers, and the private sectors.
Represents the division on public and private boards, professional associations, and community task force.
Provides supervision to program staff by directing and recommending assignments and directs the work of subordinate staff through intermediate supervisory staff members.
Ensures compliance with licensure and contractual requirements, and assures that maintenace of programmatic, administrative, and case records meets established standards of practice.
Prepares and submits reports and data as required. Performs other responsibilities required to provide the specific services of the assigned program.
Monitors program performance to ensure quality of services provided to clients.

– Serves an an on-call basis (24 hours – 7 days per week) for assigned cases and/or programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a field of study to be specified by the department and two years of experience to be specified by the department; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

Educational Requirements

If your education was obtained in the United States, the County recognizes degrees or diplomas which are accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If you have obtained education from a country other than the United States, your degree or diploma must be evaluated to determine the United States equivalency by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) or the Association of International Credentials Evaluations (AICE) at your expense.
