Full Job Description :-
This General Labor role will be responsible for the daily production activities at our newest 35,000 sq. ft. controlled environment farm in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley. This is a hands on role, working in and around our production areas throughout each shift. The Farm Technician will work with a team taking part in seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and packaging, among other on farm duties. This is an entry level position, however Local Bounti is committed to not only growing fresh food, but our employees as well. As a quickly expanding business, we are dedicated to training our people and empowering them to advance their career within Local Bounti.
Responsibilities

Responsible for daily production activities, including but not limited to:
Seeding, Transplanting, Harvesting, Packaging
Take part in regularly scheduled production cleaning and sanitation.
Operating and maintaining production equipment including seeding lines, harvesting lines, and packaging lines.
Responsible for record keeping and completion of production logs.
Involved in inventory management including shipping/receiving and maintaining stock levels.
General materials handling.
Be an active participant in our integrated pest management program.
As a front-line employee, this position is the first line of defense in our comprehensive food safety program. The Farm Technician is responsible for adhering to our food safety protocols and fostering a culture of food safety.

Qualifications

Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
General computer skills and data entry competency.
Ability to effectively communicate core concepts and ideas.
Ability to lift 30 pounds as this is a physical job.
Experience in agriculture/horticulture and or familiarity with food safety practices a plus!
