About this Opportunity
The Global Security Operations (GSOC) Manager is responsible for the safety and security of facilities and personnel globally, and providing crisis management event support. Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Global Security Operations, the GSOC Manager will lead, guide, and direct daily GSOC Operations.
The GSOC Manager is responsible for the strategic development and leadership of Security Operations teams across the MillerKnoll portfolio of companies, including direct management of Dispatch and Patrol teams, 3rd party security contractors, along with the development and management of the Global Security Operations Center.
Working closely with business partners across the family of brands, they will deliver robust oversight and response, both directly and vicariously across the globe, in accordance with corporate and local legislative requirements. As individual territories and subsidiary, company requirements vary, frequent interaction and collaboration with the Store Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Real Estate, Store Design, Construction, Marketing, Legal and Risk Management teams is required and frequent, independent judgments are essential.

What You’ll Do

Become familiar with the facilities and occupants in their geographic area including, but not limited to, organizational staff, emergency systems and procedures, alarm systems, card access systems, and CCTV systems.

Collaborate closely with the Global Security Systems team to drive security related projects.

Conduct and direct investigations through traditional and non-traditional methods (cyber, data analytics, social media, open source research).

Define, evaluate, and improve current processes within the team, as well as consult with several operations teams to ensure they comply with the Global Security Standards.

Develop and maintain partnerships with federal, state, or local law enforcement agencies.

Develop best practices for the delivery of the Miller Knoll Group strategic Security Program.

Effectively communicate the activities and findings of the GSOC to the various levels of management in an effective, accurate and timely manner.

Lead and execute thoughtful, strategic decisions responding to daily operations and escalations.

Maintain timely and accurate reporting as required by management, deliver metrics on performance, output, outcomes, and impact.

Manage, mentor, and coach individuals and shift performances to consistently meet performance Global Security Standards.

Provide recommendations and solutions in crisis situations such as workplace violence, protests, and demonstrations.

Reports to the Senior Manager Global Security Operations to ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met.

Responsible for hiring, on-boarding, training, performance management of team staff.

Validate data trends using CCTV, prepare case and investigations files, and partner with management to investigate and resolve identified issues.

Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or commensurate field.
Minimum 10 years leadership experience, direct leadership experience in a Global Security Operations Center environment is strongly preferred.
Global Security Operations Center experience: 5+ years preferred
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills, in high-pressure, emergency scenarios
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable self-motivator able to execute tasks
Strong Inter-personal and networking skills
Ability to lead and work in teams
Able to communicate with and influence senior leadership
Able to work with highly confidential information
Proven ability to influence key business partners without authority
Organization and planning skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and tasks
Ability to work under stress and deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional work relationships
Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT.
Technical competence, particularly in video management and alarm monitoring systems
Ability to work weekends, based on needs of the operations center.
