Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in retail regional field sales in consumer electronics.
5 years of experience in vendor management, including contract negotiations, sourcing, and vendor performance management.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, and profit and loss (P&L) for retail.
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Experience in store operations, channel management, new product introduction (NPI), and product management with progressively increasing responsibility.
Experience in retail business strategy, or financial planning and execution, with a problem-solving, detail-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in a consultative manner, influencing internal and external retailer/carrier partners.
Ability to communicate and influence effectively by presenting data in a compelling way.
About the job
As Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing business through key retail channels (e.g., stores, call centers, online, etc.) and optimizing the last mile purchase experience for Google’s Chromebook portfolio.
In this role, you will lead multiple teams to design and deliver channel business programs including compliance, training, incentives, merchandise, and sales. You will work with Marketing, Product, and Account teams to optimize the purchase experience (e.g. demos, navigation) and manage relationships with field and corporate retailer personnel responsible for business activities.
(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $137,000 – $147,000 + bonus + equity + benefits..
Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
Develop and build relationships with key retail stakeholders to influence business and purchase experience in stores and online.
Manage a large team to drive retail business, including third-party vendor selection, onboarding, contracting, budgeting, and performance management.
Create, implement, and operationalize new field programs and field execution standards across training, merchandising, assisted selling, mystery shopping, customer experience, and product launches.
Own business goals and budgets jointly with account teams, and understand key levers that influence goals, investments and return on investments, and retailer/carrier engagement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and drive the Chromebook purchase experience through fixtures, shelf compliance, training, and representative recommendations to achieve brand goals.
