Full Job Description :-
General ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Director of Creative and Web Development, and as part of the Communications & Public Engagement Team, the Junior Graphic & WordPress Designer will assist with graphic design and website work for ESD 112 programs and school districts. This position will be full-time, 12 months per year.
Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions:

Assist in working with school districts or other educational agencies in the development and maintenance of websites.
Assist in designing print and digital graphics for internal and external clients.
Maintain a knowledge of current web and graphic design tools and other relevant software such as including Microsoft 365 software, Google
Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Professional).
Assist with training customers on using WordPress and updating website content.
Communicate effectively with staff and the general public in person, by telephone, via E-mail, and in writing.
Other Functions:

Other Duties as assigned.
Attend staff meetings and trainings.
Establish and maintain strong, positive working relationships with ESD 112 departments and school districts.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years of post-secondary education or training.
Two years of experience from school classes or professional graphic and website design.
Two years of experience from school classes or professional updating & maintaining content on WordPress platform.
Understanding of CSS, HTML and website accessibility (ADA) requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:

One to Three years of experience building, managing and updating WordPress websites including hosting, CMS software, plugin, theme updates and troubleshooting website/WordPress issues. (Divi and Avada builder themes or similar preferred).
Three to Four years of experience working with Adobe Creative Suite software to design print and digital graphics.
Experience designing using Canva.
WordPress editor training experience.
Experience working in a K-12 educational or agency environment.
Portfolio showing clean and dynamic graphic design and website examples.
Understanding of website accessibility (ADA) requirements.

Employment Requirements:

Successful completion of a criminal history records checks through the Washington State Patrol.
