SummaryThe Greeter welcomes and assists patients and visitors entering our medical centers. They are our first line of contact with them. The greeter assesses the needs of the patient and visitor and directs them to the appropriate area.
Duties and Responsibilities1. Cordially greets visitors and customers upon arrival.2. Directs patients accordingly based on their needs.3. Sets up and distributes coffee, tea, and pastries for patients.4. Calls patients to confirm appointments and verifies that proper documentation is ready for outside appointments scheduled with transportation.5. Contact dispatchers to inform when patients are ready for pick up from the medical center or outside provider offices.6. Handles confidential information including patient information in an ethical and professional manner.7. Contacts security, environmental services, or management for assistance when necessary.8. Ensures that all HIPAA standards are in compliance.9. Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/Experience: 1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.2. At least two years of customer service experience required.
Skills: 1. Excellent customer service skills. Must show compassion and patience when dealing with uneasy patients.2. Ability to effectively multi-task in order to increase productivity and better serve our patients.3. Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.5. Ability to work in and keep up with a fast-paced office environment.6. Ability to work with individuals within and outside the organization, in professional and courteous manner.7. Ability to work well and maintain relationships in a team environment.8. Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.9. Be proactive and adaptable in order to meet visitors/clients/patients’ needs.10. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.11. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.12. Strong verbal communications skills.13. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.14. Strong bilingual (English/Spanish) oral and written skills.
