About the role
As Cochlear continues to grow and service our customers, we are recruiting for a Social Media Specialist in our Americas head office based in Lone Tree, CO. This role offers a hybrid work environment with a combination of in-office and remote work from home.
In alignment with our organizational principle of providing a safe work environment, employees of Cochlear are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be successful in this role you’ll be able to assist in execution of Cochlear Americas social media channel strategy through management of social channel monitoring and care, curation of content published on our blog and social media content creation. You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional marketing teams to ensure social media content aligns with our campaigns and strategic initiatives to further the collective goals of the organization and keep our social media pages functioning and performing at their best. This specialist role is responsible for various parts of the entire social media journey, blog and content development at Cochlear.
Key Responsibilities
Social Community Monitoring and Care
Performs Cochlear owned social channel monitoring and engagement with community members
Performs monitoring of industry related social closed groups/channels and reports relevant key insights and opportunities for content creation to stakeholders
Develops new ideas for social content from social landscape learnings
Curate and post content on Cochlear owned social channels where applicable
Social Content Development
Performs Cochlear recipient outreach to author monthly blog articles for Hear & Now blog
Authors product related blog articles where appropriate for Hear & Now blog
Collaborates with internal social media teams to develop creative for posting of stories on relevant platforms
Supports SEO where applicable
Maintains native advertising work with outside digital agency
Growth opportunities in both social content planning and Influencer Marketing
Key Requirements
To add value to Cochlear in this role you’ll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:
Degree in Marketing, Communications, MIS (Web-focused) or equivalent
2-5+ years professional experience in a customer-centric role
Social media marketing and content development experience
Past experience using content management tools for social media/website copy and development
Strong copywriting skills; mastery of tone, positioning, language, message mapping, and strategic development to achieve marketing objectives
Must have a very strong command of grammar and punctuation
Requires strong organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Team oriented with positive energy, enthusiasm and commitment to delivering innovative quality work products
Consistent delivery of work on time and on budget
Travel is required at 0-10%

In addition to the opportunity to develop your knowledge and grow professionally, we offer competitive wages and benefits. The Target Salary Range: $70,000 – $77,000 based upon experience as well as a bonus of 7.5% of base salary.
