The Production Manager is responsible for the oversite of manufacturing and production in the manufacturing plant. This include to oversees the day-to-day operations of production, such as batching, filling and packaging products, clearing bottlenecks, maintaining standards, and otherwise ensuring that production is smooth and on schedule. The potential h make sure production personnel are properly trained. The production manager will work in coordination with the Plant Manager/Engineer to ensure that equipment is performing according to protocol and standards. Additionally, quality control of the production output and look for ways to improve efficiency, productivity and potential savings must be maintained. The higher focus must be on safety and OSHA guidelines and be able to spot problems before they become significant.
Ensure that production in the plant is performing at the required level to reach goals and is within safety rules.
Communicate with the purchasing team to decide on what to buy to maintain production flow and control costs.
Communicate with senior management make certain inventory levels are aligned with demand and sales growth.
Assist team members with batching, filling containers and packaging product.
Ensure batch quality and integrity. Meet production schedules.
Ensure quality control tests and production outputs meet the relevant standards.
Analyze on-floor performance using production data to look for bottlenecks and other problems.
Build reports to summarize performance and any potential issues going forward.
Assist in chemical storage, staging and handling.
Assist team members with hazardous materials in drums, totes, cylinders and bulk tanks.
Maintain clean, neat and well-organized plant and production areas.
Perform other duties as assigned
Must have two years of experience working and managing in chemical manufacturing.
Have planning and organization skills to be able to run and monitor production process.
Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and customers.
Strong attention to detail, quality, organization and safety awareness.
Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines.
Ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems.
Maintain neat and accurate records of documentation
Have basic computer skills
Knowledge of chemical raw materials, transfer, handling and production processes.
Self -starter and able to execute job task with limited supervision.
Forklift, pallet jack and drum truck operation experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $108,000.00 per year
Paid time off
Monday to Friday
Chemical Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
Work Location: One location
