Director, Operations
THE JOB / Director, Operations
This role will be an important liaison and architect for an integrated agency process, including involvement with Account Services, Creative, Project Management, Producers, and Business Leads to ensure organizational efficiency and ongoing improvement.
Successful candidates will be savvy integrated agency natives who will plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources. The role will work across multiple clients with creative, strategy, and account teams to produce amazing campaigns and work. You will closely lead projects and assist with scope and resource management and assist with timelines and other project management responsibilities.
The work you’ll do
Provide leadership in documentation and development/refinement of processes based on client, business and agency needs to ensure overall efficiency, profitability and creative excellence
Work across clients and internal teams to document and/or refine standards for all project/client types and deliverables. Train others, especially new employees, on these standards
Establish plans and procedures that ensure consistent execution across all deliverables and that ensure the most efficiency and profitability possible
Become the focal point for delivery across a series of workstreams while keeping up to date on daily projects
Proactively assess project scope, resource balancing, and the integrity of revenue
Actively manage project health in partnership with the Associate Director Operations and our Finance teams through the lens of hours/actuals and budgets
Develops and maintains high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, engagement).
Effectively and impartially navigates teams with conflicting priorities
Builds strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders and clients across the business
Continually assesses and simplifies complex processes to make them more efficient
Who we’re looking for
You have years of aggregated experience across some combination of project management, agency operations, process and resource management, and capacity planning ideally in an integrated and creative agency/environment.
Proven experience identifying and implementing solutions for improving client and team delivery processes
Experience in defining the scope for new projects, communicating and proactively identifying project roadblocks
Ability to multitask and versatility in a wide range of client deliverable types and needs
Strong communicator and negotiator for dynamic conditions and managing multiple priorities
You are an efficiency guru, able to ensure operational scale, and put into practice processes to ensure our projects and teams are properly staffed and run effectively to deliver work that exceeds our clients’ expectations. You are comfortable navigating financial operations, understanding impact of decisions to the fiscal bottom line.
You have a solid understanding of the of change management with excellent EQ to help guide our teams to embrace change in full trust that we will come out the other side better for it.
You are comfortable driving implementation of new ways of working and tools, including rollout of communications and trainings.
***Our headquarters is located in Detroit, MI, but the location of this position can be flexible with a preference for working in one of our other primary locations – New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA. We will absolutely also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates***
