Camp Mak-A-Dream attracts a certain kind of individual — one who is passionate, kind and sees the big sky as the limit. Often someone who has been touched by cancer in his or her own personal life is interested in joining our community. However, we welcome anyone with or without previous experience and knowledge of cancer and the effects of treatment.
Interested candidates will be required to complete an online application and if selected, undergo an intensive interview process, undergo a criminal background check and provide references, become CPR certified and travel to Gold Creek, Montana at their own expense.

Seasonal Staff

FULL SUMMER POSITIONS
We select our seasonal staff after an extensive application and interview process. Our full-time summer staff spends several days training on campus prior to the first session to come together as a team so that we can achieve our ultimate goal: To give campers a positive, life-changing Montana experience. Our summer season typically runs from the beginning of June to mid-August. Full-summer staff receive room, board, training and compensation.
For those selected to be part of the 2022 summer season staff, on site training will begin June 1 and the season will conclude on August 8.
Our usual full summer staff positions vary from year to year, but is typically comprised of the following:
Activities and residential coordinators who help oversee and manage daily life at Camp, both in the cabins and around campus to foster a safe, fun and inclusive environment. One of their primary responsibilities is to provide support and guidance to other summer staff and weekly volunteers.
Kitchen assistant to assist in prepping for and preparing three healthy, appetizing meals each day (throughout the summer season) for all campers, volunteers and staff. This position works closely with the Camp Chef and weekly Dream Team kitchen/dining volunteers.
Cabin leaders who supervise and guide campers throughout the week. We hire two male and two female cabin leaders for the summer. Cabin leaders live and sleep in the cabins and assist in the training and supervision of weekly volunteer staff. Their primary responsibility is to foster a safe and supportive environment for the campers and volunteers in their cabin.
Program specialists who lead specific program activity areas and collaborate as a team to create and facilitate campus wide events. We hire five to seven program specialists. These positions require experience in a variety of areas, including arts & crafts, waterfront/swimming, team building, photography sports, games & events, and adventure course leadership. Their primary responsibility is to create activities that are safe, fun and inclusive for all members of the community.
An office assistant who is responsible for general office duties during the day and joins program specialists in the evening to assist with larger group activities.

Pay: $2,000.00 – $2,500.00 per month
