Full Job Description :-
Security Officer Position open for The Aviator Hotel in Anchorage under NEW OWNERSHIP/NEW MANAGEMENT.
We are looking for security guards with at least 1 year experience. Applicants must be reliable, competent, professional, and responsible and be able to work independently completing tasks with minimal instruction and oversight, and be able to follow directions and hotel policy and procedures.
Security Officer will:
– Conduct security surveillance on campus property;
– Patrol buildings and grounds,
– Check doors and alarm systems,
– Report any unusual situations,
– Respond to and assist with medical emergencies, alarms and other security related occurrences,
– Provide customer service to tenants and guests, providing information and assistance,
– Control access to facilities and enforce visiting procedures within scope of authority,
– De-escalate tense situations.

Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old
Pass background check
Have 1 year experience with security concepts and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, able to maintain poise and self-control under stress
Wearing face mask and/or face shield is required.

Hours are 8 hour shifts, typically 7 am – 3:30 pm, 3 pm – 11:30 pm, 11 – 7:30 am. Prefer full-time. Some overtime as needed.
