Exploration and Production Technology (EPT) – EPT provides provisional, ad hoc, and embedded staffing necessary to meet in –office and field needs.
JOB SUMMARY
The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for managing and implementing the daily drilling operations in accordance with Company policies and procedures and customer requirements. This position works in conjunction with the Drilling Manager and Drilling Engineer, supervises drilling personnel, and ensures all drilling operations are consistent with safe, economical, and environmentally sound performance goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Implement drilling operations following established design specifications, contract terms, scope of work, and objectives.
Ensure all drilling operations are in compliance with Company and customer requirements and federal and state regulations.
Assist with blow out prevention operations (BOP) and report associated safety issues.
Monitor and report BOP equipment status and assist with emergency shutdown procedures.
Maintain and communicate health, safety, and environmental protection policies and quality expectations to drilling personnel.
Check and verify drilling parameters and document material supply and consumption.
Monitor and ensure the availability and operability of drilling equipment, supplies, and associated systems.
Prepare daily drilling reports and document accidents, injuries, and unsafe workplace conditions and practices.
Allocate resources, assign responsibilities, and identify human resource requirements.
Monitor scope, schedule, and budget plans to meet project objectives.
Supervise and provide guidance to personnel and subcontractors.
Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering or related field.
A minimum of five (5) years in drilling operations within oil and gas or mining industry required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.
Must have a current Well Control Certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam
Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
