Bargaining Unit: ACE Work Year: 230 days per year, 12 contract payments Work Day: 8 hours per day FTE: Full time, 1.0 FTE Salary: ACE 13 $80,219 -$104,873, DOE Job Summary The Supervisor of Information Technology provides advanced technical support and administrative oversight for IT Service Development and Operations staff. The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS). Job Requirements The following are required:

A bachelor’s degree in an information technology related area. Equivalent experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

Six years of professional experience in information technology.

Demonstrated experience in leading technical staff.

Proficient technical, logical, and analytical skills.

The following are preferred:

Experience in systems analysis, project planning, project implementation, and project supervision.

Experience in technical services and programming development environments.

Experience in performing process improvements in a customer service environment.

Ensures changes to technical assets and configurations are recorded, controlled, and communicated with stakeholders appropriately.

Experiences reducing the cost, time, and risk of delivering changes by increasing frequency of incremental updates to systems in production.

Essential Job Functions

Takes ownership of problems and proactively resolves technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements.

Orchestrates the design and implementation of strategy and capacity planning, evaluating the implementation of policies to ensure business requirements are being met.

Ensures change management for the organization adds value for the business and adheres to company policies.

Develops a performance culture where IT staff are given space, authority, and support to deliver outcomes.

Maintains focus on the whole life of service delivery, including procurement, delivery, and operation.

Takes management information and consolidates agreed key performance indicators into product or service measures.

Coordinates staff scheduling and leave requests to meet service delivery needs.

Participates as subject matter expert or IT lead for district and internal projects, ensures resources are available and aligned for project success, and helps coordinate project priorities in collaboration with appropriate departments.

Develops, communicates, and enforces IT policies and processes in projects and service delivery.

Has a current and deep understanding of the technical concepts required in their role and understands how these fit into the wider technical landscape.

Maintains a no-blame culture and feels empowered to make judgment calls. Makes the right decisions at the right time based on the information and evidence available. Takes measured risks and learns from mistakes. Visualises, articulates and solves complex problems and concepts. Applies logical thinking and information from analysis using comprehensive tools and techniques to make and validate decisions.

Creates and encourages a culture of innovation, allows people to consider and take informed risks, and ensures they keep up to date with the latest trends.

Continuously seeks out ways to improve policy implementation and build a leaner, more flexible and responsive department.

Works effectively as a good team player across IT operations, and is able to manage challenging relationships with internal and external teams and suppliers.

Physical /Mental Demands The physical demands of this job require frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking and hearing. Specific visual abilities are also required. The employee is regularly required to reach with his/her hands and arms and occasionally lift items weighing less than 40 lbs. Additionally, the employee must be able to understand vague and implicit instructions, be able to readily recall facts and details, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. The employee must have the ability to effectively manage the stress of working with students, parents, and other employees representing diverse cultures, personalities, and work styles in a dynamic work environment.
