Description:
American Health Associates is seeking an HR Assistant to join our team in our Cincinnati Office. The ideal candidate should have a broad knowledge of human resources functions from hiring to on-boarding, and from employee compensation to benefits. Your main goal is to provide support in the areas of benefits, hiring, and on-boarding new employees. Some administrative and clerical work will also be required. This individual works closely with the VP of Human Resources, to ensure compliance with company, state and federal policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support in the areas of benefits, hiring, and on-boarding new employees.
Greet and assist employees with their inquires, as well as by phone and email.
Maintain complete and accurate personnel files in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Ensure accurate processing of new-hire documentation, including applications for employment, background check release, I-9, W4 and other related items.
Serve as contact person for employee questions related to benefits, payroll, and related HR topics.
Ability to navigate and apply federal and state employment laws for a variety of situations.
Proven ability to treat confidential matters with appropriate discretion and privacy.
Multi-task daily and prioritize projects with variable deadlines.
Strong sense of initiative and independent problem-solving.

Leadership: 2 years preferred
Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or other related fields
Ability to build rapport with all employees
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility in work duties
Strong attention to detail, accuracy
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
Dependable
People-oriented- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects
Flexible- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
Autonomous/independent- enjoys working with little direction
