Job summary
Amazon is looking for a customer obsessed, results-oriented candidate to join the AWS Global Social Impact team. In this Program Manager role, you will lead programs and relationships across multiple geographies to support AWS’s Global Social Impact Rights & Equity goals to advance human rights and safeguard protections for the most vulnerable, and drive economic empowerment for marginalized groups. You will manage and support cross-functional teams across AWS, and communicate results to leaders and key stakeholders.
A successful candidate will be an experienced professional with excellent communication, relationship and project management skills, and a demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous environments. Candidates must be builders and highly agile. A track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must.
This position supports the Head of Rights & Equity, AWS Global Social Impact.

Key job responsibilities
Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Rights & Equity portfolio along with internal stakeholders; be a trusted advisor and an advocate.
Manage the lifecycle of a complex, cross-functional program focused on returning citizens (i.e., formerly incarcerated individuals), including planning, execution, monitoring and improvement.
Coordinate regular meetings and communications with stakeholders, including meeting agendas, report outs, and written monthly/quarterly/annual program updates.
Work across partner organizations, and with other program managers, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop and share best practices.
Represent AWS at program-specific external events.
Demonstrated knowledge of challenges facing returning citizens (i.e., formerly incarcerated individuals)
Demonstrated ability to self-direct and prioritize constantly evolving workload
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly, and get things done in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile, builders-mentality environment
Microsoft Office, along with experience with electronic project management tools
Experience creating formal program management deliverables / reports
